Product Description

Recycled Double Resistant Anti-Napping And Anti-Pilling Polyester Staple Fiber For Spinning

Description:

Engineered for premium textile applications, our recycled double-resistant polyester staple fiber combines exceptional durability with sustainable performance. Specially designed for spinning processes, this advanced fiber delivers permanent anti-pilling and anti-napping properties while maintaining superior spinning efficiency.

How is it Made? The Process Explained

The manufacturing process transforms waste plastic into a new, usable fiber.

  1. Collection and Sorting: Used PET plastic bottles (from water, soda, etc.) are collected. They are thoroughly cleaned, and their caps and labels (which are often made from different plastics) are removed.

  2. Crushing and Shredding: The clean bottles are crushed into small flakes.

  3. Washing and Drying: These flakes are washed again at high temperatures to remove any remaining impurities, contaminants, or residues. They are then completely dried.

  4. Melting and Extrusion: The clean, dry flakes are melted down into a thick, liquid polymer. This liquid is then forced through a device called a "spinneret" (like a showerhead) to form long, continuous strands of polyester.

  5. Staple Fiber Formation: This is the key difference. Instead of being kept as one long filament, the continuous strands are gathered into a thick tow, stretched to align the polymer molecules for strength, and then chopped into short, predetermined lengths. This creates the "staple fiber."

  6. Baling: The loose, fluffy staple fibers are compressed into large bales for easy transportation to textile mills.

Key Performance Features:
✔ Dual Protection - Excellent resistance to both pilling (≥4.0 Martindale) and napping (≥4.5 ICI Pill Box)
✔ Eco-Certified - 100% post-consumer recycled PET (GRS & Oeko-Tex certified)
✔ Spinning Optimized - Special crimp configuration (12-14 crimps/inch) for better fiber cohesion
✔ Long-Lasting Smoothness - Nano-scale siliconization reduces surface friction by 40%
