Product Description

This Nylon 6/66 Flock Tow is a crimped continuous filament tow designed for cutting into staple lengths for flocking and nonwoven applications. It has a 10 denier per filament (10D) linear density and a cut length of 50mm. The product features a Semi-Dull luster, offering a natural, subdued appearance with reduced light reflection. The filaments have a Round Cross Section, providing a smooth, uniform surface. The tow is supplied in a Raw White color, ready for subsequent dyeing or direct use. Nylon 6/66 copolymer combines the excellent abrasion resistance and toughness of Nylon 6 with the higher melting point and structural stability of Nylon 66, offering enhanced durability, chemical resistance, and thermal stability.

Application

1. Flocking (Cut Flock)
   After cutting to the specified 50mm length, this tow is ideal for producing cut flock used in decorative flocked fabrics, automotive interior flocking (dashboard, door panels, console boxes), and flocked velvet for apparel and home textiles.

2. Nonwoven Fabrics
   Suitable for needle-punched nonwovens, especially for automotive trunk liners, carpet backing, insulation mats, and geotextiles, where the 10D thickness provides good resilience and filtration properties.

3. Filtration Materials
   Used in industrial filter media, air filters, and liquid filter cartridges, benefiting from nylon's chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and the coarse 10D filament's ability to create open, porous structures.

4. Industrial Yarns & Ropes (after cutting/staple spinning)
   The 50mm cut staple can be spun into industrial yarns for manufacturing heavy-duty ropes, twines, nets, and straps requiring high strength and abrasion resistance.
