Product Description

This Nylon Fiber product is a copolymer tow (Nylon 6/66) designed for cutting into staple lengths. It has a linear density of 3.0 denier per filament (3.0D) and a cut length of 38mm. The fibers feature a Semi-Dull luster, providing a natural, subdued appearance with reduced light reflection, and a Round Cross Section for a smooth, uniform surface. The tow is supplied in a Raw White color, ready for subsequent dyeing or direct use. The Nylon 6/66 copolymer combines the excellent abrasion resistance and toughness of Nylon 6 with the higher melting point and structural stability of Nylon 66, offering enhanced durability, chemical resistance, thermal stability, and lower moisture absorption compared to Nylon 6 alone.

Application

1. Staple Fiber Production (Cutting):
   This tow is primarily used as a feedstock for cutting into 38mm staple fibers, which are then processed on cotton, wool, or worsted spinning systems.

2. Spinning into Yarns:
   After cutting, the 3.0D × 38mm staple is ideal for spinning into 100% nylon yarns or blends with cotton, wool, viscose, or polyester. The 38mm length is well-suited for cotton-spun systems, producing yarns for:

   • Socks and hosiery

   • Sewing threads

   • Gloves and mittens

   • Knitted and woven apparel (sportswear, outdoor gear, uniforms)

3. Nonwoven Fabrics:
   Suitable for needle-punched nonwovens, thermal-bonded, and chemically-bonded nonwoven applications including:

   • Geotextiles and erosion control fabrics

4. Flocking (Cut Flock):
