Full Dull Polyester FDY Yarn 75D/36F (AA Grade, for Woven Label)
This product is a 75 denier, 36-hole full dull polyester FDY yarn with AA grade, specifically developed for woven label applications. The 75D falls into the medium-fine denier range, striking a good balance between strength and softness. The 36-hole configuration means a higher number of individual filaments, with each filament approximately 2.08 denier, resulting in a finer hand feel and better fabric coverage.
Full Dull is the most distinctive visual feature of this product. Through the addition of a high dosage of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) delustering agent, the fiber surface eliminates light reflection, presenting a premium matte, linen-like finish. When used for woven labels, this avoids the glaring reflection of bright yarns, making text and patterns clearer and softer to the eye.
FDY Process uses a one-step spin-draw method, giving the fiber high orientation and uniform crystallization. This results in high strength, low elongation, and excellent evenness. These characteristics ensure stable yarn tension and low breakage rates during high-speed weaving.
The 75D/36F fine-denier structure features an optimal hole count. The yarn maintains sufficient strength for weaving tension while retaining good softness, allowing for fine, clear label patterns. With a single filament fineness of approximately 2.08 denier, the hand feel is soft and the fabric texture uniform.
AA Grade represents premium quality, with key indicators such as breaking strength, elongation at break, boiling water shrinkage, and unevenness of evenness meeting stable and reliable standards, ensuring downstream weaving efficiency.
Inherent Polyester Properties include high strength, abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, wrinkle resistance, shape retention, and easy-care quick-drying characteristics. These ensure that woven labels resist deformation, fading, or wear during use.
Breaking strength is above 3.8 cN/dtex, elongation at break ranges from 25% to 35%, boiling water shrinkage does not exceed 8%, and unevenness of evenness is controlled below 1.5%. These indicators ensure processing stability and finished product quality.

This product is primarily designed for woven labels, and can also be extended to other textiles requiring a matte finish, fine texture, and high strength.
Woven labels are fabric tags used on apparel, luggage, home textiles, etc., to display brand, size, composition, and care instructions. The full dull characteristic of this yarn gives the label a non-reflective surface, making text and patterns clearly readable from any angle. The 75D/36F fineness and hole count allow for fine letters, logos, and barcodes with clean edges and no yarn breaks. The AA-grade high strength ensures stable warp tension during dense label weaving, reducing stoppages due to breakage. Polyester's wash and abrasion resistance ensure the label remains legible, non-fading, and dimensionally stable after repeated washing.
Common woven label types include: size labels (neck labels, waist labels), brand main labels, care labels (composition and washing instructions), composition labels, and custom logo woven labels.
Beyond woven labels, this yarn is also suitable for high-end garment linings. The full dull matte effect prevents the lining from reflecting through the outer fabric, enhancing the garment's overall quality, while the 75D specification provides softness with adequate strength. It can also be used for embroidery backing fabrics and woven ribbons (such as satin ribbons and decorative tapes), where the matte texture presents a more premium appearance. For industrial fabrics, it can be applied to filter cloths, coated base fabrics, and other materials requiring a matte surface.
Comparison with Other Polyester FDY Yarns
Compared with semi-dull products, this full dull yarn has no surface luster and a stronger matte feel, making it more suitable for fine text and patterns on woven labels. Compared with bright products, full dull avoids glaring reflection, resulting in higher text clarity. Compared with standard grade products, AA grade offers superior evenness and strength stability, leading to higher weaving efficiency and lower defect rates.
For woven label weaving, air jet looms or rapier looms are recommended. This yarn should be used as warp, while the weft yarn can be this yarn or cotton/polyester depending on the desired effect. For finishing, relaxed aqueous washing followed by heat setting is recommended, with setting temperature controlled below 160°C to preserve the full dull matte texture. If hot slitting is required, control the cutting knife temperature to avoid hard or melted cut edges.
