Product Introduction

2.0D x 51mm Recycled Acrylic Staple Fiber is an eco-friendly acrylic staple fiber produced through a recycling process, reducing dependence on virgin petrochemical raw materials while maintaining the excellent characteristics of acrylic fiber. The "2.0D" indicates a moderate fiber fineness, offering soft hand feel and good yarn strength, suitable for conventional spinning systems. The "51mm" represents the fiber length, falling into the medium-length fiber range, suitable for cotton or wool blending processes. "Recycled" indicates that the fiber is reprocessed from recycled acrylic waste or production leftovers, in line with circular economy principles.

This fiber is manufactured by dissolving and spinning recycled acrylic raw materials followed by cutting. It retains the core properties of acrylic fiber: soft and bulky hand feel, good warmth retention, bright color, and excellent lightfastness and weather resistance. Compared to virgin acrylic, recycled acrylic staple fiber offers similar performance while providing significant environmental benefits, including waste reduction and lower energy consumption during production.

The 2.0D fineness gives the fiber good flexibility and cohesion, reducing excess fly during the spinning process. The 51mm length allows it to blend well with both cotton-type fibers (approximately 38mm in length) and wool-type fibers (approximately 64-76mm in length), offering good process adaptability. The dyeing performance of recycled acrylic is largely consistent with that of virgin acrylic, and cationic dyes can be used to achieve bright and stable colors.

The fiber typically has a round or nearly round cross-section, with a smooth surface but featuring the slight crimp structure characteristic of acrylic, which helps improve inter-fiber friction and yarn strength during spinning.

The 2.0D x 51mm specification gives the yarn good softness and bulkiness, resulting in warm and comfortable knitted garments with good anti-pilling performance. Blended Fabrics
Can be blended with cotton, viscose, wool, polyester, and other fibers. Blending with cotton improves the fabric's wrinkle resistance and color brightness. Blending with wool enhances the fabric's bulkiness and machine-washable properties without significantly increasing costs. The 51mm length allows good compatibility with other fibers during blending.

Home Textiles
Used in blankets, rugs, cushion covers, sofa covers, and similar products. The natural warmth retention and soft touch of acrylic fiber make it suitable for autumn and winter home textile products. The use of recycled acrylic helps home textile brands highlight environmental attributes in product marketing.

Toys and Fillings
Suitable for outer fabrics or filling materials for plush toys. The 2.0D fineness does not create surface roughness, and the 51mm length prevents the fiber from clumping during filling, maintaining bulkiness and elasticity.

Technical Textiles
Used in automotive interior fabrics, awning fabrics, outdoor cushion fabrics, and similar applications. The excellent lightfastness and weather resistance of acrylic make it suitable for applications exposed to sunlight, while the recycled content also helps with cost control.
